I plan on doing some serious brook trout fishing and like the thought of getting a few different streamer flies into my box. I’m not going to buy too many, but I want to have a couple to try out. I already have a few muddler minnows, I have heard those are good pretty much everywhere. What do yall think are some good brook trout streamer flies?

Larry, probably your best bet for brook trout streamers would be standard wooly buggers in black and olive. I’d look for buggers with some flashy material tied in as well. Muddlers are very good for all trout, those were a good choice to buy.
When I was younger I used to catch a lot of brookies on royal coachmen streamers. Another classic that can be very effective are mickey finn’s. Hope this helps. Dub

I have had good luck with muddlers myself. Probably one of my favorite flies overall.
