I tie a lot of streamers, I find myself usually tying them lighter than I like them. I don’t find out they are too light until I get on the river and they practically float! I need to get some very deep, but I don’t want a ton of bulk. Any ideas?

Mahem, if you really want to get deep you could use tungsten coneheads and wrap the hook shank with as many layers of lead as it takes to get them sinking how you like them. 2 layers of lead wrap + tungsten head will have those things sinking like you won’t believe. Usually for me I just stick with a single lead layer unless they have a lot of deer hair on the head. With a bulky deer hair head it takes a lot of weight to get them cutting through the water.
